Once again, college football did not disappoint in Week 6, as fans across the country got to see more shakeup in the College Football Playoff race.
No. 8 Texas A&M ended up on the winning end of a double-overtime classic against No. 9 Tennessee, Navy shocked No. 6 Houston, No. 23 Florida State survived against No. 10 Miami and Washington State beat No.15 Stanford.
Let’s take a look at how social media reacted to all the action over the weekend:
The Aggies huge win not only kept them among the few unbeaten teams remaining across the country, but they also set up what looks to be one of the biggest games of the year in two weeks when Texas A&M travels to No. 1 Alabama.
But for now, the Aggies are going to enjoy the thrilling win over the Volunteers.

Although Texas A&M mave have been involved in the best game to watch Saturday, Navy was responsible for the biggest upset. The Midshipmen rocked the college football world with a 46-40 win over Houston.

For the seventh straight season, Florida State defeated Miami, but it wasn’t that simple. The Hurricanes scored what looked to be the game-tying touchdown with under two minutes to go, but the Seminoles blocked Miami’s extra-point attempt to secure the 20-19 victory.

One week after getting run out of the stadium by Washington, Stanford was looking to bounce back. Unfortunately for the Cardinal, Washington State had other plans. The Cougars defeated Stanford 42-16.

Hurricane Matthew certainly impacted football across the East Coast over the weekend, but despite the torrential rain, N.C. State took down Notre Dame, 10-3, on Saturday. By the looks of it, the Wolfpack had a ton of fun.

Saturday was another big day for No. 4 Michigan, who beat Rutgers, 78-0. However, it was not as good of a day for the Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
The restaurant posted on social media Friday that customers this week would receive a percentage off your total bill that equaled the amount of points the Wolverines won by. I think it’s safe to say they weren’t expecting that lopsided of a win. Ruth’s Chris did clarify that the discount is capped at 50 percent.
