The arrival of another college football weekend should add some spring to your step, or put a smile on your face. That seems to be the theme heading into a Week 8 Big 12 showdown between head coach Dana Holgorsen’s West Virginia Mountaineers, and the TCU Horned Frogs.

Undefeated West Virginia seeks its best start since the 2006 season, when quarterback Pat White and running back Steve Slaton helped power the Mountaineers to a Top 10 final ranking.
For a start as strong as Western Michigan’s 7-0 run, one must go back a whole lot further than a decade. The Broncos celebrate Week 8 with a No. 20 ranking in the Associated Press Top 25 and an opportunity to go 8-0 for the first time since legendary Mike Gray’s perfect 1941 campaign.
