Steve Richardson, an award-winning journalist, has written about college football for more than 39 years, including a combined 20 years with the Dallas Morning News and the Kansas City Star. He has written, collaborated, or edited 15 books, including his latest book, “100 Things to Do in Dallas-Fort Worth Before You Die,” which was released in February 2014. Richardson has been a correspondent for Sports Illustrated and written freelance articles for numerous publications, including USA Today. A 1975 graduate from the Missouri School of Journalism, Richardson has covered 24 Final Fours, all the traditional major bowl games, professional sports and two Olympics. He was the president of the United States Basketball Writers Association in 2002-03, and he currently serves as the executive director of the Football Writers Association of America, a post he has held since 1996.
